common questions
Asked often, answered plainly
If your question is not here, write to the producers. Someone answers every enquiry within two working days.
How early should we bring you into a project?
As early as there is an idea. We are most useful while the story is still moveable, because that is when a location, a lens or a single cut change can save a week on the schedule.
Do you shoot outside California?
Regularly. The core unit travels together and we hire local crew for grip, electric and transport wherever we land. Travel and per diem are itemised separately on every quote.
What does a typical shoot cost?
A single-day brand film with a small unit usually lands between mid five figures and low six. Narrative work is quoted per script. You get a line-by-line budget before anything is booked.
Who owns the footage when it is finished?
You do. Masters, graded exports and the full card backup are handed over on delivery. We keep an archive copy for two years so a re-cut never starts from nothing.
Can you finish something another crew shot?
Yes. The cutting room, grade suite and sound booth are all available on their own, whether the material came off our cards or somebody else’s.
